Data Engineer at SysGroup PLC

As the first dedicated Data Engineer at SysGroup, you will architect the foundational data layer enabling company-wide AI transformation. You will build scalable models in Snowflake, integrate diverse APIs, and develop predictive tools. Working with state-of-the-art AI models, you will own the data strategy that powers automation for this established, publicly-traded organization.

• Architect and maintain the core data model within Snowflake to centralize data from Zoho CRM, monitoring platforms, and client tools.
• Design and implement robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Matillion, AWS S3, and Lambda to ensure scalable data ingestion via various APIs.
• Partner with the software engineering team to build the predictive tooling suite and data foundations required for advanced AI embedding.

• Proven experience in cloud data warehousing, specifically with Snowflake, and building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines with tools like Matillion.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and a deep understanding of connecting and normalizing data from disparate APIs.
• A tech-forward mindset with genuine fluency in AI-assisted development tools to drive faster, more efficient engineering cycles.
