Engineering Technician at Rivan Industries — VC-backed synthetic fuel startup

As a hands-on technician, you will bridge the gap between design and reality, fabricating test rigs and full-scale assemblies. You’ll own the workshop execution, directly compounding iteration speed to solve one of Earth's biggest climate challenges.

• Build, plumbing, and wire complex modular systems including DAC systems, alkaline electrolysers, and Sabatier reactors from CAD models.
• Maintain and operate a suite of heavy machinery including water-jet cutters, laser cutters, lathes, mills, and advanced welding equipment.
• Execute critical validation tests for fluid, thermal, and electrical systems to provide the data necessary for rapid hardware iteration.

• 4-5+ years of professional experience in a high-intensity workshop, factory, or laboratory environment with a multidisciplinary trade background.
• Proficiency in welding, fabrication, and machining with the ability to work independently from engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
• High agency and a "maker" mindset, evidenced by personal projects, tinkering, or a history of solving complex mechanical problems autonomously.
