Founding RAG Engineer at Kensai - OS for global health commerce

As the Founding RAG Engineer, you will build the "Brain" of a high-stakes regulatory intelligence platform. You will move beyond basic chatbots to engineer a deterministic retrieval engine that cross-references complex health product claims against global laws. This role is critical in transforming regulatory friction into launch velocity for global brands.

• Design and implement a hybrid (Sparse + Dense) retrieval architecture to capture specific legal terminology across diverse regulatory texts.
• Build robust data pipelines to ingest and structure messy, unstructured PDFs and HTML into a clean Knowledge Graph or Vector Store.
• Develop and manage rigorous evaluation pipelines (RAGAS) to mathematically prove system accuracy exceeds human legal experts.

• Proven specialist in NLP and Information Retrieval who understands why standard vector database approaches fail for complex, high-stakes reasoning.
• Accuracy-obsessed builder with professional experience in Python, LangChain/LlamaIndex, and vector databases like Pinecone, Weaviate, or Qdrant.
• Systems-oriented engineer comfortable with 0→1 product ownership and ideally experienced in multi-lingual NLP (specifically German or Italian).

• Join as a ground-floor founding member with significant equity (1.0% – 2.0%) and direct influence over the core product architecture.
• Solve elite technical challenges in multi-lingual retrieval where semantic search fails, moving the needle for science-backed health brands globally.
• Work in a high-intensity, zero-bureaucracy environment alongside an expert team of ex-Palantir operators and medical physicians.
