Head of Engineering at Index Ventures-backed agentic AI startup

As the first Head of Engineering, you will own the technical truth for a high-intensity startup transforming the $300T built world. You’ll architect a robust agentic AI platform, scale a high-output engineering team from zero-to-one, and partner with leaders from Blackstone and OpenAI to automate complex development workflows for global institutions.

• Own the engineering function end-to-end, defining the architecture, infrastructure, and security protocols for a production-grade agentic AI platform.
• Lead, recruit, and mentor a team of elite engineers, fostering a culture of high execution velocity and uncompromising technical excellence.
• Partner with product and domain experts to encode complex real estate logic into autonomous systems that handle real-world load and ambiguity.

• Extensive experience scaling a vertical AI company (e.g., Harvey, Sierra, or Glean) through a major growth phase with LLM-based systems.
• A tech lead or engineering manager who maintains deep hands-on coding skills and can debug complex production issues alongside the team.
• Proven track record in B2B or enterprise software, demonstrating a deep understanding of the reliability and security standards required by global institutions.
