Lead Product Engineer at a16z-ranked $30M ARR AI startup

• Lead technical direction and product strategy for core features, translating ambiguous user needs into high-impact shipping decisions without PMs.
• Build and optimize production AI systems using fine-tuned open-source models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and advanced tool-use architectures.
• Own features end-to-end, from conducting qualitative user research to deploying scalable infrastructure that handles millions of automated email drafts.

• At least 5 years of experience shipping production software with deep expertise in Python or TypeScript and a history of extreme ownership.
• Proven ability to build and deploy modern AI/ML systems, including experience with embeddings, inference optimization, and large language models.
• A builder's mindset, likely demonstrated through founder experience, open-source contributions, or a track record of rapid career compression in high-growth startups.
