Principal Engineer at Seed-funded AI automation startup

As the first technical hire, you will take over the codebase from the technical co-founder to build a scalable, production-grade platform. You'll architect systems that convert user demonstrations into autonomous AI workflows using multi-model orchestration. This is a high-autonomy role for a hands-on builder eager to solve complex AI reliability and infrastructure challenges.

• Own the technical evolution of the platform, transitioning the v1 MVP into a robust, high-scale infrastructure capable of handling thousands of concurrent AI workflows.
• Design and implement sophisticated multi-model AI orchestration, coordinating LLMs like GPT-4, Claude, and Gemini to optimize cost and performance for complex tasks.
• Lead the development of smart systems for AI-powered workflow understanding, browser automation, and integrations with enterprise tools like Slack and Google Workspace.

• Proven full-stack expert with deep experience in TypeScript, React, and a willingness to master or evolve a Laravel/PHP backend into a modern Node.js ecosystem.
• Deep technical proficiency in AI engineering, including prompt engineering, context window management, and handling real-time streaming and reliability for LLM APIs.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to move fast in a 0-to-1 environment, comfortable wearing multiple hats and engaging directly with customers to solve problems.
