Product Engineer at Y Combinator

Join the elite 18-person engineering team at Y Combinator and build the software that powers the world's most influential startup accelerator. In this high-impact role, you'll own the product end-to-end—from designing interfaces to shipping AI-powered features for the YC admissions pipeline and Demo Day. With no PMs or designers, you'll have total autonomy to turn complex operations into elegant software while earning a $250K–$500K base plus profit-sharing. If you're a product-minded, AI-native builder who loves working at the center of the startup ecosystem, this is the ultimate opportunity to shape the future of YC.

Overview

Why this role stands out

Candidate profile

Who this is a fit for

  • A product-minded full-stack engineer with a proven track record of shipping complete web applications and owning the end-to-end user experience.
  • Highly proficient with AI-enabled development (e.g., Cursor, Copilot) and experienced in integrating LLMs or vector databases into production environments.
