Gimlet Labs is an applied research lab dedicated to transforming computing systems for AI workloads. Their work involves envisioning and developing new systems that can efficiently and scalably serve AI demands. Current projects include Gimlet Cloud, which offers serverless inference for AI agents, and kforge, a system that autonomously generates optimized low-level kernels directly from PyTorch for accelerated training and inference. The lab also conducts research in areas such as autonomous kernel generation for heterogeneous hardware, SLA-aware scheduling for AI agent workloads in datacenters, hybrid edge/cloud orchestration, universal AI compilers, headless hardware architectures for AI inference, and cost-aware optimization frameworks for AI workloads.
