Join BIOS Life as our first Biostatistician, reporting to the Head of AI to build a pioneering personalized cancer surveillance platform. You will design and validate statistical models that bridge the gap between AI research and clinical oncology. This role is pivotal in ensuring our life-saving diagnostics are robust, clinically sound, and ready to scale globally.

What you will do

  • Design and execute statistical methodologies to validate AI-driven healthcare models, ensuring clinical relevance and statistical rigor for regulatory alignment.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and the Medical Director to define study designs, endpoints, and validation frameworks for prospective and real-world studies.
  • Develop automated analysis pipelines for complex clinical datasets, providing critical insights into study power, data quality, and the interpretability of AI outputs.

Who this is a fit for

  • Holds a PhD or Master’s in Biostatistics or a related quantitative field with 3+ years of experience in biotech, healthcare, or medical research.
  • Demonstrates strong proficiency in R or Python for statistical modeling and has a solid understanding of validating machine learning or AI models.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills to translate complex statistical findings for multidisciplinary stakeholders and is comfortable traveling up to 25% to the UK.
