Business Operations Manager at Maze

As the first dedicated operations hire, you will build the foundational systems for a fast-growing team of 36. Reporting to the VP Operations, you’ll own financial reporting, board preparations, compliance, and people ops. This is a high-agency role designed to streamline growth and free the founding team to focus on product innovation.

• Own the financial operating rhythm, including the financial model, budget vs. actuals tracking, and investor-grade board packs.
• Design and execute the systems for compliance and people operations to ensure a seamless experience as the company scales.
• Identify opportunities to integrate AI tooling into internal workflows to maintain a lean, high-velocity operational team.

• 2-4 years of experience demonstrating high rigour in demanding environments like management consulting, finance, or a high-growth scale-up.
• Strong financial literacy with the ability to maintain complex spreadsheets and translate data into clear leadership insights.
• Builder’s mindset with the agency to identify operational gaps and create lasting infrastructure without needing a detailed brief.
