Join a lean Skunk Works team to transform how Cubitts operates across its entire supply chain and retail footprint. You will build AI-powered tools, agents, and automations that solve real-world problems for 350,000 customers. This is a high-ownership role where you move fast, turning prototypes into production-ready internal applications and workflows.
AI Technologist / Engineer at Cubitts
Cubitts is building a dedicated Skunk Works team to revolutionize the eyewear industry, and they are looking for a lead builder to turn that vision into reality. In this high-ownership role, you will leverage a unique, vertically integrated stack—ranging from physical retail stores and eye tests to e-commerce and a glazing lab—to deploy AI agents and automated workflows. If you have a passion for shipping real products fast and thrive in fast-paced, scrappy environments, this is your chance to transform the optics experience for 350,000 customers while working directly with the founding team from their King's Cross headquarters.
About this role
Role overview
About the company
Cubitts is an independent spectacle maker founded in King’s Cross, London, in 2013, dedicated to modernising the three‑century‑old spectacles industry by combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design and technology. The company designs and manufactures high-quality spectacles and sunglasses intended to outlast their wearers, using carefully selected materials such as premium acetate, stainless steel, rolled gold, titanium and horn. Cubitts offers a full optical service including eye examinations, fitting, adjustments, repairs, made‑to‑measure and bespoke frames, and promotes a circular approach with services and repairs for life to reduce waste and extend product longevity. With physical stores in the UK and internationally and online sales via cubitts.com, Cubitts positions itself as “the modern spectacle maker,” aiming to democratise fit, challenge disposable fashion culture, and transform how people choose, own and care for their eyewear.
