What you will do
- Drive predictable delivery by establishing pragmatic agile practices and making trade-offs explicit to ensure the squad ships high-quality customer value consistently.
- Set the bar for technical excellence by performing code reviews, guiding architectural decisions, and maintaining a healthy balance between feature discovery and technical debt.
- Coach and mentor 5-8 engineers through regular 1:1s, tailored growth plans, and high-quality hiring to foster a psychologically safe and high-performing environment.
Who this is a fit for
- Proven leadership experience with 3-5+ years as an Engineering Manager and 7-10+ total years in software development, ideally with depth in Go or Rails.
- Deep technical credibility rooted in a successful transition from Individual Contributor to Manager, with the ability to review production code and de-risk complex architecture.
