Forward-Deployed Engineer at Granit

Granit is revolutionizing French healthcare administration by building browser-based AI agents that automate the complex, manual tasks of 'tiers-payant' and data reconciliation. As a Forward-Deployed Engineer, you will sit at the heart of the product, turning hostile, API-less portals into reliable automated systems for health professionals. If you are a Python and browser-automation expert who loves taming messy real-world systems and working directly with founders in an early-stage Paris startup, this is your chance to build a category-defining platform from the ground up.

Role overview

As a Forward-Deployed Engineer at Granit, you will bridge the gap between bespoke client needs and a scalable automation platform. You’ll build robust browser agents to navigate hostile healthcare portals, resolve complex authentication challenges, and engineer deterministic reconciliation logic. Your work directly automates mission-critical tasks for healthcare operators in real-time.

Granit déploie des agents IA qui automatisent les tâches administratives des établissements de santé - tiers-payant, rejets CPAM, recouvrement, rapprochement.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain high-fidelity browser agents using Python and Playwright to handle authentication, 2FA, session persistence, and dynamic DOM changes on portals without public APIs.
  • Build and refine a deterministic reconciliation engine to match complex healthcare data with high precision, ensuring every transaction is accurate and reliable according to specific French standards.
  • Collaborate directly with client operators to observe their manual workflows and transform those observations into automated features using a full-stack toolchain including Next.js, GCP, and SQL.

Who this is a fit for

  • Deep expertise in Python and browser automation (Playwright/Puppeteer), with a proven ability to solve “the ugly parts” like cookie persistence, anti-bot measures, and unstable UI interactions.
  • Strong full-stack engineering skills, including proficiency with Next.js/React, Postgres/SQL, and Google Cloud Platform services like Cloud Run and Secret Manager to own features end-to-end.
  • A systems-integration mindset that finds taming messy external systems rewarding, coupled with the curiosity to learn the intricate domain of French healthcare administration and insurance mapping.

Why this role is remarkable

  • Directly impact the efficiency of the French healthcare system by automating “tiers-payant” processes that currently rely on manual data entry across dozens of hostile web portals.
  • Join an early-stage team in Paris where you work alongside founders to turn bespoke, video-to-steps workflows into a scalable, reusable automation infrastructure used in live production.
  • Master a unique technical intersection of browser automation, LLM orchestration, and complex deterministic data reconciliation where every correctly matched euro represents tangible product value.
