Founding Engineer / CTO at ZATAR AI

Join as a technical co-founder to build ambient AI that assists professionals during high-stakes conversations. You will tackle gnarly challenges like sub-second latency and intent forecasting while architecting an unobtrusive Electron-based UX. This is a 0-1 opportunity to define the engineering culture and technical foundation for a next-generation productivity platform.

• Architect and build the end-to-end product, from the low-latency ML infrastructure to the minimal-overhead Electron front-end.
• Develop a rapidly queryable context layer that integrates cross-platform data to provide real-time relevance during live conversations.
• Set the engineering culture and standards, balancing high-craftsmanship iteration with a relentless bias toward shipping and learning.

• Proven experience shipping production software from 0-1, with a track record of building high-quality products end-to-end.
• Deep technical expertise in at least one core area: retrieval/graph data structures, voice/transcription pipelines, or ML infrastructure.
• High-agency operator with a bias for action who knows when to choose the right abstraction and when to ship a duct-tape version.

• Leadership pedigree: Work directly with founders from Stripe, Google Pay, and Plaid who understand how to scale world-class products.
• Deep technical ownership: You aren't just building features; you are making foundational architectural decisions on low-latency inference and real-time transcription pipelines.
• High-impact product: Build "calm tech" that moves beyond the chat box, providing sub-second intelligence that respects user attention during live calls.
