Head of Engineering at Infilla

You will lead engineering for a profitable startup modernizing government permitting with agentic AI systems. Serving major customers like NYC and San Francisco, you will manage a distributed team of seven while remaining hands-on in the code, building the technical foundation to solve the national housing shortage through automation.

• Act as a player-coach, spending 50–70% of your time in the codebase (React, Node, Postgres, AWS) while leading end-to-end execution.
• Partner directly with the CEO to align technical architecture with business goals and maintain a high bar for engineering velocity.
• Manage and scale a high-performing distributed engineering team across the US and Nigeria, defining the culture and operating system for delivery.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams of 6+ at early-stage B2B startups and shipping 0-to-1 products to paying customers.
• Deep technical fluency across the full stack (React, Node, Postgres, AWS) and a track record of using AI to measurably accelerate development.
• A mission-driven leader comfortable with high ownership, architectural decision-making, and direct customer interaction in regulated or complex domains.
