Integration Test Engineer at Tarana Wireless

As an Integration Test Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in validating groundbreaking fixed wireless hardware in a high-tech lab environment. From automating test stations with Python to conducting thermal chamber validation, you will ensure the reliability of technology that brings fiber-class speeds to the world. If you're a self-starter with hardware bring-up experience and a passion for automation, this is your chance to impact the future of connectivity.

About this role

Role overview

As an Integration Test Engineer at Tarana Wireless, you will validate groundbreaking hardware and FPGA functionality in a fast-paced lab environment. You will bridge the gap between design and deployment by executing thermal tests, managing regressions, and automating test stations using Python and Ansible to ensure fiber-class speeds for global service providers.

About the company

Tarana Wireless is a telecommunications company that creates and leads the next-generation fixed wireless access (ngFWA) category. Founded in 2009 by four Berkeley Ph.D.s, the company has developed proprietary technology to deliver reliable, high-speed residential broadband through wireless means. Their flagship platform, Gigabit 1 (G1), is designed to provide fiber-class broadband service at a fraction of the cost and deployment time of traditional wired solutions. The platform overcomes industry challenges such as non-line-of-sight connectivity and interference in unlicensed spectrum, delivering speeds up to 800 Mbps with strong immunity to obstructions and interference. Tarana's technology is deployed by over 300 internet service providers across 24 countries and 47 U.S. states, addressing both rural areas with limited broadband infrastructure and urban markets seeking competitive alternatives to monopoly providers.
