Member of Technical Staff at Truvo

Join Truvo as a Founding AI Engineer in San Francisco to build the world's first AI-native insurance broker. We are a well-funded seed-stage startup replacing antiquated legacy systems with intelligent agents and deep carrier integrations. If you are a scrappy engineer with production LLM experience who wants to own a 0-to-1 product and earn significant founding equity (0.5-1.5%), this is your chance to transform a massive, broken industry.

About this role

Role overview

As a Founding AI Engineer, you will build production-grade AI agents and multi-agent systems from scratch to disrupt the antiquated insurance market. You will own significant product chunks, integrate deeply with carrier APIs, and ship rapidly to find product-market fit. This is an IC role for high-agency engineers wanting to define a generational company's technical foundation.

Insurance

At Truvo, we’re building the next generation of insurance broker, saving the average household hundreds of dollars on insurance while better protecting people for the worst moments in their lives, when their home burns down in a horrific wildfire, they end up in a major car accident, or someone breaks into their apartment and takes everything. To challenge the existing traditional insurance brokers, we’re building the insurance broker of the future, with the world’s best full stack AI-native insurance broker platform.

  • Hands-on expertise building and deploying production LLM systems using frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph in real-world environments.
  • Strong computer science foundations and a track record of building scalable, production-grade software systems beyond mere prototypes.

  • Work in a high-density talent environment alongside a CEO with deep industry expertise and a small, exceptional team in a flat organizational structure.
