Product Engineer at Allied

Allied is building the AI-native operating system for Europe's defence production, bridging the gap between the frontline and the factory floor. Founded by a former Royal Marines officer and backed by 1991 VC and Notion Capital, they are creating a platform that combines a homegrown MES with a procurement marketplace. As a Product Engineer, you'll join a high-calibre "circle of peers" to ship features across the full stack using TypeScript and AI-native tools. This is a rare chance to work on a global mission with significant autonomy, meaningful equity, and the opportunity to shape the future of Western security.

Role overview

Join Allied as a full-stack Product Engineer building AlliedOS, the "Anduril meets Amazon" of European defence. You will own features end-to-end, from a homegrown manufacturing execution system to a procurement marketplace. Working in a flat hierarchy, you'll utilize an AI-native stack to deliver mission-critical tools for government and military partners.

Defence Technology1-50 employees

Allied unites builders, engineers, and nations to create a new defence manufacturing method. It builds modular systems and shared supply chains for Europe's defence industry to address issues of being too slow, centralised, and fragile, especially highlighted by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

What you will do

  • Own and ship features end-to-end across web and mobile, contributing directly to the development of the AlliedOS platform and MES.
  • Iterate rapidly with real users and commercial teams to transform complex defence procurement needs into intuitive, intelligent software solutions.
  • Influence the technical architecture and product roadmap of a scaling startup, moving from concept to production in weeks rather than years.

Who this is a fit for

  • You have 5-8 years of full-stack experience shipping high-quality products in fast-paced environments, with a strong product instinct.
  • You are highly proficient with modern web technologies, specifically TypeScript and React, and are comfortable working across the entire stack.
  • You leverage AI tools like Cursor or Copilot daily and have experience or a strong interest in building AI-powered features and integrations.

Why this role is remarkable

  • Work on a global mission to strengthen Western democracies by fixing the slow, centralized defence industrial base with AI-native technology.
  • Join a high-calibre "circle of peers" founded by a former Royal Marines officer, offering extreme autonomy and a hierarchy-free environment.
  • Backed by specialist investors 1991 VC and Notion Capital, tackling a massive market with a product-led approach to defence procurement.
