Software Engineer (Video & Storytelling) at Adamo

Adamo is a London-based robotics startup looking for a rare hybrid: a Software Engineer who is also a filmmaker. You'll own the visual identity of their sub-40ms teleoperation platform, turning deep infrastructure into compelling narrative content. If you understand code but think in frames and cuts, this is your chance to shape the storytelling for the next generation of humanoid robotics and autonomous vehicles.

Role overview

You will bridge the gap between deep engineering and visual narrative, owning Adamo's technical storytelling and visual identity. By leveraging your background in software and film, you’ll create authentic product demos, social content, and demo reels that communicate the power of sub-40ms teleoperation to investors, customers, and the wider robotics community.

Adamo provides managed teleoperation, low-latency solutions and data collection for the fastest growing robotics companies. The company builds end-to-end solutions so that robotics companies can focus on hardware and model development, while Adamo makes deployment seamless by providing managed remote teleoperation services with access to trained teleoperation specialists and low-latency infrastructure.

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end production of high-impact technical demos and film content that showcase Adamo’s real-time robotics control layer to global audiences.
  • Collaborate deeply with the engineering team to understand new feature shipments, translating complex software breakthroughs into narrative-driven visual content that resonates with technical audiences.
  • Define and execute Adamo's visual identity across social platforms, creating authentic video content that cuts through industry noise by showing real hardware in action.

Who this is a fit for

  • Professional experience as a Software Engineer with a deep understanding of systems or technical logic that allows you to interface fluently with high-level developers.
  • Proven track record in film, videography, or content creation, with a portfolio that demonstrates a strong eye for framing, cutting, and technical narrative.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex concepts into visual stories, possessing the autonomy to pick up a camera and translate a technical spec into a compelling demo.

Why this role is remarkable

  • Join an early-stage robotics pioneer at the forefront of ultra-low-latency teleoperation, working directly with founders to shape how the world perceives the future of remote-controlled hardware.
  • Enjoy a unique "dual-brain" role that values your engineering literacy as much as your cinematic eye, allowing you to influence product direction and brand identity simultaneously.
  • Work on technically novel infrastructure where your work translates complex sub-40ms latency systems into compelling visual stories that drive real-world adoption and investor interest.
