Shuffle Finance is a B2B and B2C circular finance platform, which provides both upfront capital for the best hospitality business in the UK, and random cashback rewards for the patrons of those businesses through the Shuffle app.
After a careful selection process, Shuffle Finance invests directly into restaurants, bars, and cafes that are then added to Shuffle. It is the return on these investments that allows us to offer rewards to our customers, and our relationship with our restaurant partners ensures no one is left short by any transaction.
Shuffle Finance was founded in 2023 and we’re currently live in Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow, with plans to expand to Edinburgh, Leeds, London and beyond. Our 15+ partners in Manchester include names such as Salon Madre, Doug’s, Climat, Amber’s, Trading Route and Firehouse, to name but a few.
We have an office in London (Hoxton). The team plans to grow to at least 15 by the end of the year. Shuffle Finance has raised £4m in funding so far from top tier VCs in both Europe and Canada, including Portage, Episode1, Antler, and True Ventures as well as a few angel investors. What you will do
- Build and maintain the master 3-statement financial model to forecast runway, revenue, and cash burn across lending and consumer business lines.
- Oversee lending operations and treasury, maintaining the "loan tape" as the single source of truth for all UK hospitality investments and drawdowns.
- Lead all core finance functions including month-end close in Xero, payroll management, and statutory reporting in partnership with external accountants.
Who this is a fit for
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) likely trained at a Big 4 or Top 10 firm within Audit or Transaction Services.
- Advanced financial modeling expert capable of building robust, multi-entity Excel or Google Sheets models from scratch without breaking.
- Operationally rigorous professional with a "Controller" mindset who possesses the integrity to handle payroll and the gravitas to present to the Board.
