What you will do
- Lead deep technical diligence on startups building in propulsion, materials, and autonomy to separate real breakthroughs from polished pitches.
- Execute a relentless outbound strategy, messaging dozens of people daily and attending events to discover the next generation of founders.
- Conduct rigorous market research and synthesis to identify emerging opportunities in robotics, defense, and the rebuilding of American industry.
Who this is a fit for
- 2–4 years of engineering experience at a top-tier hard-tech company such as SpaceX, Anduril, Rocket Lab, Hadrian, or Relativity Space.
- Proven technical depth and curiosity, with the ability to sit across from founders and evaluate complex hardware or software architectures.
- A high-energy, “door-to-door” work ethic with no ego; no prior venture experience is required as we prioritize taste and technical judgment.
