Founding Engineer - AI at Muro AI — SF-based AI for Pre-Construction

Join an eight-person team revolutionizing the $13 trillion construction industry. You will build autonomous AI agents that read complex blueprints, manage multi-million-dollar bids, and automate critical pre-construction workflows. This role offers the chance to own a new category, bridging multimodal models with real-world document intelligence to save thousands of hours per project.

• Build agentic workflows and multi-agent systems using Procore APIs, Excel manipulation, and custom orchestration for autonomous document generation.
• Ship production RAG systems capable of processing and performing semantic search on messy, 1,500-page scanned and hand-marked construction plan sets.
• Deploy computer vision models that interpret floor plans and structural drawings, collaborating with subject matter experts to eliminate hallucinations in high-stakes environments.

• 4+ years of experience shipping production AI/ML products, with deep expertise in LLM APIs, agentic frameworks, and RAG pipelines.
• Proficient across the stack with Python (FastAPI), Celery, Docker, and GCP infra, including handling unstructured data and computer vision.
• Possesses startup DNA, comfortable navigating half-baked specs and moving fast in a scrappy, 0→1 environment with prior founding team experience.
