Founding Engineer at Alcor Labs

As a Founding Engineer, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge agentic vision AI designed for wearable hardware. You will design, train, and deploy large vision models (VLMs) that enable real-time environmental understanding. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of computer vision and consumer hardware, building the foundation of a next-generation platform.

• Architect and implement state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms and VLMs optimized for real-time inference on edge devices.
• Build the core software infrastructure for agentic AI behaviors, enabling smart glasses to perceive and interact with the physical world.
• Lead technical decision-making across the stack, from training pipelines to product-facing software engineering and deployment.

• Final year Stanford student (Bachelors, Masters, or PhD) with an exceptional track record in computer science and software development.
• Deep technical expertise in computer vision or vision-language models, ideally with experience training or fine-tuning large-scale AI models.
• Proven builder mindset with previous experience at high-growth startups or big tech, and a history of winning prestigious hackathons or technical events.
