Full Stack Engineer at Loxacover

Protect all retail customers, everywhere. This London-based insurtech is transforming how 30 million people will secure their purchases by 2030. As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll join a scaling team at the ground floor to build the invisible, seamless insurance infrastructure for global commerce. Working with Ruby on Rails, React, and AWS, you will own critical integrations and architecture that power the retail experience for dozens of major brands. If you're a mid-level engineer ready for genuine ownership and a clear path to equity in a high-growth fintech startup, this is your next career-defining move.

About this role

Role overview

Join a high-growth London startup as a defining member of the engineering team. You will build seamless, embedded insurance technology that integrates directly into major e-commerce platforms. Working across Ruby on Rails and React, you'll solve complex transactional challenges to protect millions of customers while scaling a platform from 44+ retailers to global markets.

About the company

Finance

Loxa Ltd (trading as Loxa and Loxa Cover) - the "Klarna for insurance" - is a UK-based insurtech and FCA-regulated insurance intermediary that enables retailers of any size to offer product protection insurance at the point of sale, both online and in-store. Through simple, swift and secure integrations—including APIs and plugins for platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento and in‑store portals—Loxa embeds product protection directly into the checkout flow so customers can easily opt in with a single click. The company connects insurers, retailers and customers by handling regulated insurance distribution, policy administration and claims oversight, allowing retailers to focus on their core business while earning recurring revenue from policies sold. In January 2026, Loxa will expand to all insurable categories, targeting over 15k online retailers in the UK and more than 60k across Europe, and expand it's mission to protect every retail customer everywhere, and protect 30m customers by 2030.
