Operations Manager / Founders Associate at Paddington Robotics Limited

Join a high-growth robotics startup as the first non-engineering hire. You will partner directly with the C-suite to build the company’s operational framework from scratch, automating internal workflows using AI and managing real-world robot deployments in retail environments. This is a high-impact role for a proactive problem-solver ready to scale a revolutionary AI product.

• Lead strategic operations projects including sourcing new office/factory spaces and managing the logistics of robot delivery to major customer sites.
• Build and automate essential business systems for accounting, supplier management, and internal inventory using advanced AI tools like Claude and Relay.
• Support on-site customer operations during key deployment periods, ensuring smooth real-world performance and gathering critical feedback for the engineering team.

• A highly proactive "go-getter" with experience in fast-paced environments like early-stage startups, venture capital, or top-tier consulting.
• A power user of modern AI productivity tools who can demonstrate a track record of using LLMs and automation to streamline complex business processes.
• Highly adaptable and willing to travel within the UK, including supporting early-morning customer site operations (starting at 4am) during deployment cycles.

• Founded by Zehan Wang (Magic Pony co-founder, acquired by Twitter/X) and backed by 7percent Ventures, you will be part of an elite team from Amazon, InstaDeep, and Cambridge.
• As the first non-engineering hire, you have a blank canvas to design every operational process, from inventory management to the central company "brain" in Claude.
• You will gain direct, hands-on experience deploying cutting-edge AI robots into the "messy chaos" of real-world retail environments, moving beyond lab simulations.
