Product Designer at Mayday

You will work directly with the Head of Design to eliminate manual spreadsheets for finance teams through automation and AI. As an early design hire, you'll own the visual craft and information hierarchy of complex financial workflows, building a modern toolkit that recently won Xero's Global People's Choice Award.

• Design end-to-end product experiences from initial discovery and prototyping to high-fidelity execution and refinement for desktop-first interfaces.
• Partner with PMs and engineers to distill complex accounting workflows into simple, intuitive UI that replaces legacy spreadsheet processes.
• Maintain and evolve the company design system, ensuring visual consistency and high interaction standards across the entire global toolkit.

• Has 2-3 years of product design experience, ideally within a B2B SaaS startup environment focusing on complex data-heavy interfaces.
• Demonstrates exceptional visual craft and a portfolio showing the ability to translate technical requirements into clean, user-centric information architecture.
• Possesses a proactive mindset with an interest in utilizing AI tools for prototyping and a desire to own product features from ideation to launch.
