Product Designer at Model ML

Join as the second designer shaping the core UX for a high-stakes AI platform used by PE firms and investment banks. You will design complex, data-rich interfaces that automate sophisticated financial workflows, transitioning from manual research to precise, agentic automation. This is a founding-level role with significant ownership in a fast-paced environment.

• Design end-to-end user experiences for complex financial data tables, document analysis tools, and automated report generation interfaces.
• Build and maintain the company's first formal design systems and UI patterns to ensure consistency across a sophisticated product suite.
• Collaborate with engineers and founders to influence the product roadmap, translating technical AI capabilities into intuitive, human-in-the-loop workflows.

• Minimum of 4 years experience in product design, specifically building 0-1 products or scaling interfaces at early-stage startups.
• Proven expertise in managing technical depth, including dense data visualizations and professional-grade tooling for expert users.
• Strong familiarity with AI/ML interface design, specifically human-in-the-loop systems or complex agentic UX patterns.

• Outsized ownership as the second designer at a heavily funded $75M Series A startup backed by Y Combinator.
• Direct impact on the "operating system" for elite financial institutions, replacing slow, error-prone manual due diligence with AI-driven precision.
