As the first BDR hire at Uptimelabs.io, you will design and implement the business development function from the ground up. You will build out sequences, qualification frameworks, and toolstacks to engage technical leaders like SREs and VPs of Engineering. This is a high-impact, process-oriented role with a direct pathway to Account Executive.

Their platform provides realistic, no-risk simulated drills based on actual incidents, designed to build operational resilience and confidence under pressure. The solution requires no integration or setup, and is accessible via browser, allowing teams to quickly rehearse high-stakes scenarios, align across technical, operational, and leadership layers, and drastically reduce time to mitigation during real incidents. Founded by engineers with experience in mission-critical environments, Uptime Labs helps organizations transform stress into effective readiness through gamified, scenario-driven learning.

What you will do

  • Build the BDR playbook from scratch, including outbound sequences, scripts, and rigorous qualification frameworks for technical buyers.
  • Set up and own the sales toolstack, managing CRM configurations in HubSpot to track pipeline performance and lead routing.
  • Partner with Marketing to optimize MQL-to-SQL conversion while running personalized outbound campaigns into target enterprise accounts.

Who this is a fit for

  • 3+ years in business development with specific experience building or significantly rebuilding sales development processes rather than just following them.
  • Exceptional written communication skills capable of engaging highly technical, "outreach-allergic" buyers like SREs and Heads of Engineering.
