What you'll do

What you will do

  • Lead the architectural direction for the Growth squad, owning the end-to-end ecommerce journey from discovery through to complex global checkout flows.
  • Design and scale robust backend systems for payments, credit facilities, and seller tools capable of handling millions of unique inventory items.
  • Act as a technical force multiplier, leveraging AI to optimize supply chain tooling and mentoring senior engineers in a high-performance environment.

Who you are

Who this is a fit for

  • Extensive experience as a Staff or Lead Engineer at tier-1 consumer scaleups like Monzo, Deliveroo, Depop, or similar high-growth B2C environments.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling complex backend systems including payments, checkout, or high-throughput data pipelines using Node.js/TypeScript.
  • Product-obsessed mindset with the ability to articulate complex architectural trade-offs and connect deep engineering decisions to tangible business outcomes.
