Founding AI Engineer at Sektor
Sektor is solving the multi-billion dollar problem of AI agents that never reach production. With $2M ARR and a client base managing $40 billion in construction projects, Sektor is building the world's first platform for autonomous agentic deployments. As a Founding AI Engineer, you won't just build agents; you'll build the engine that automates their deployment and adoption. This is a high-autonomy role for a builder who was experimenting with LLMs long before the hype. You will work directly with enterprise clients in London, moving fast to bridge the gap between AI demos and real-world industrial impact.
About this role
Role overview
About the company
Sektor is the world's first platform for autonomous technology deployment. Large, heavy industries like Construction spend billions every year on software that never gets properly adopted, because the last mile of implementation is still manual, consultant-driven, and broken. We are changing that by building the orchestration layer that automates these enterprise software roll-outs: AI-generated deployment workflows, automated configuration agents, and real integrations with the tools that run the world's largest infrastructure projects. It is a genuinely hard problem, in a market that has never seen a real technical solution, at a company early enough to shape the architecture from the ground up.
What you'll do
What you will do
- Develop an autonomous engine that transforms mapped workflows into production-ready agents, shifting the platform from human configuration toward self-configuring systems.
- Build robust data pipelines and MCP integrations to bridge critical gaps in enterprise data, ensuring agents have access to the systems that run large-scale projects.
- Implement essential production reliability features including retries, rollbacks, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints to ensure agent stability in complex, real-world environments.
Who you are
Who this is a fit for
- Proven experience building and shipping real-world LLM applications that take actions against software, moving beyond simple text generation into complex agentic workflows.
- A builder mindset with a history of automating manual processes and a preference for simple, scalable solutions over bespoke, one-off custom engineering.
- Comfortable in a client-facing role, possessing the technical judgment to navigate broken enterprise environments and the raw intelligence to decompose ambiguous problems under pressure.
Why this role
Why this role is remarkable
- Join a stealth startup already generating $2M ARR with a client base of 25 major enterprise firms in the construction and engineering sectors.
- Work on a genuinely hard, unsolved problem: building an automation engine for automation that scales AI agents across $40 billion worth of global infrastructure projects.
- Enjoy high agency as a founding-level engineer, shaping core product architecture and working directly with the founding team in a high-trust, high-velocity environment.
