Legal Operations Specialist at Valon Technologies, Inc.

As the first Legal Operations hire, you will architect the operating layer for a high-growth fintech. You'll build systems from scratch—integrating AI workflows, contract lifecycles, and compliance programs—to enable a lean legal team to support enterprise scale. This is a builder role defining how legal processes integrate with Engineering, Product, and Finance.

• Architect and manage the legal intake and triage system to bridge the gap between business questions and legal answers with full transparency.
• Build a structured contract lifecycle workflow (CLM) that allows AI to query obligations, track renewals, and monitor surviving obligations across all vendor and customer agreements.
• Lead the operational execution of data retention programs and regulatory compliance infrastructure, ensuring the company remains audit-ready during rapid expansion.

• Operations Veteran: 4–7 years in legal operations or in-house paralegal work, with a proven track record of building systems from scratch rather than just maintaining them.
• AI Power User: High fluency in AI tools, capable of writing durable prompts, calling APIs, and stitching together tools like Notion, Slack, and CLM platforms.
• Regulated Industry Experience: Prior exposure to high-growth fintech, mortgage, or healthcare environments where navigating complex regulatory exams and audits is a requirement.

• Founding Impact: You are the first hire in this function, owning the blank slate to design and implement the legal infrastructure that will support a major corporate restructuring and business spin-off.
• AI-First Environment: Unlike traditional legal roles, you will build durable workflows using Claude skills, Notion automations, and APIs to ensure recurring work runs itself.
